Belly dancers showed off their moves in Diamond Valley on Saturday, May 11 to raise funds for Rowan House.

It was part of a worldwide movement called Shimmy Mob.

"We all dance on the same day worldwide," said dancer Lisa McKelvie. "No bellies, because in many countries you can't show your belly, so we wear the same T-shirt worldwide."

The dancers performed at four locations in Diamond Valley: Black Sheep Coffee Co., Black Diamond Hotel, La Cazza's Pizza and Hard Knox Brewery.

According to McKelvie, 1,721 participants belly danced for Shimmy Mob in 278 locations worldwide.
