LETTER: Pathway walks disturbed by annoying sound emitters

Okotoks pathways are well used by two-legged and four-legged creatures.

Dear Editor,

Have you recently been enjoying the nice weather on the walking path, only to have your smile fade when a disturbing sound stings your ear?

This past summer, I've noticed an increase in homeowners installing these annoying, high-pitched frequency sound emitters to deter animals from their property. These ineffective devices only serve to irritate the community, affecting younger people and pets most.

Every single device violates the Town's noise bylaw with its obnoxious pitch and constant presence.

Imagine if every house used these devices. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a community that allows that.
