Dog walkers will see a change to the dimensions of the Black Diamond Dog Park.
The Town of Diamond Valley announced a portion of the north end of the Black Diamond off-leash park will be closed from March 4 and through the summer.
The Town said the closure is in place as a means to protect the bird habitat during construction on the Westend Sewage Lagoon.
Additionally, fencing and signage will be on site to alert users. The park is located at 2nd St. NW in Black Diamond.
An off-leash park was recently introduced in Turner Valley and the Town has advised dog lovers to consider the new site as an alternative.
