Rain didn't dampen spirits during the Little New York Daze parade in Longview today.

Dozens of floats, vintage vehicles, horseback riders and walkers took the Cowboy Trail through Longview by storm despite the rain, giving enthusiastic waves and passing candy out to little ones. This year's theme was Salute to our Pioneers.

Little New York Daze continues this afternoon with children's activities, a performance by Spectacle Blue, horseshoe tournament, petting zoo, Millarville Musical Ride, local artisans market, supper at the Longview Fire Hall at 5 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Sunday's activities include a pancake breakfast, church in the park, show and shine car show and live music in Smith/Fuller Memorial Park.
