Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape
covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in
the foothills of southern Alberta.
This position is responsible for supervising and directing
the day-to-day activities relating to the effective operation of
water facilities, water distribution and wastewater collection
and disposal. This position will also ensure compliance with
all Alberta Environment approvals and licenses and operate,
maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor all necessary equipment
and structures as well as keeping records of results.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5)
years of supervisory or operating experience and hold a valid
Class 5 driver’s license. Maintain a minimum of a Level 2
Water Treatment and Level 1 Water Distribution, Wastewater
Collection and Treatment and be working towards a Level 2
designation in all disciplines.
This position may be required to work after hours and
weekends as necessary. This position may also be required
to work shift work.
