Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape
covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in
the foothills of southern Alberta.

This position is responsible for operating the water, water
distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater disposal
facilities. In the absence of or requested by the Utilities
Foreman, the Utilities Lead Hand will be responsible for the
supervision of the Utility Operator(s). This position will also
ensure compliance with all Alberta Environment approvals
and licenses and operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and
monitor all necessary equipment and structures as well as
keeping records of results.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5)
years’ experience as an operator or lead hand and hold a
valid Class 5 driver’s license. Maintain a minimumof a Level 2
Water Treatment and Level 1 Water Distribution, Wastewater
Collection and Treatment and be working towards a Level 2
designation in all disciplines.

This position may be required to work after hours and
weekends as necessary. This position may also be required
to work shift work.
