Tiny village a comfortable fit for Okotoks

Dear Editor, Re: Loss of park would be detrimental to families by Andrew Sitter. Detrimental? Are you kidding me? What I’m hearing is that Okotoks should feel obligated to provide a small group (in comparison) of families with a yard for their kids to play in (mostly unsupervised). What?! Not only is that incredibly selfish and narrow-minded but it’s also extremely shortsighted. What happens in the future when those children can’t afford to live in this great town they grew up in. As far as the bus stop and older kids having to walk around instead of through, come on! Now you’re just reaching. Those are not valid points. The wants of the few should not outweigh the needs of the many. The tiny home village fits so nicely with what Okotoks and Okotokians say they want for this great town. I just don’t see a downside. The Kinsmen Park location is perfect. If the tiny home village is not located downtown, it’s not going to have the same value and appeal. Bobbi-lyn Ward Okotoks
