Be it ever so humble there’s no place like home – especially with the sounds of Foothills area musicians going through the house.
The Town of Okotoks Culture and Heritage kicks of its free online concert series RPAC@Home tonight (April 15) with a performance by Okotoks’ Dwight Forseth, joined by his musical family of wife Lisa and daughter Esther.
The trio will play a mix of its original music and cover songs.
Forseth is a singer songwriter who has been involved in music for most of his life. He likes themes of real life, the tension, the irony and the wide swings of human emotion. With influences in rock, blues and country, his gravelly yet intimate voice has a place to shine complimenting his love for the acoustic guitar.
Forseth has been a mainstay in contributing and performing at the annual Okotoks Food Bank Christmas Concert.
RPAC@Home plans to have a different Foothills area artist featured every second Wednesday to help support musicians and bring the joy of music to residents during the COVID-19 crisis.
All concerts will be live streamed and are available for residents to access in several locations:
- On the Town’s Okotoks Culture and Heritage Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/OkotoksCulture/live/
- On the Town’s YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/townofokotoks
- Each artist will also stream the concert live on their own Facebook page.
