Artist Komal Bishnoi painted a summer mural at the Okotoks Municipal Centre in 2024.

The Town of Okotoks is looking for artists to paint a pair of murals at the Okotoks Municipal Centre this year.

Talented individuals or artist teams are being sought to design and paint murals, one with a Stampede/summer theme and the other inspired by the whimsical world of Whoville.

The Stampede/summer mural, an open-themed design celebrating the 'Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth’ as well as Okotoks’ lineup of summer events, will be painted from June 24 to 28.

The winter mural, inspired by Whoville from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, will be painted Nov. 4 to 8.

Each mural will be awarded $3,000, inclusive of paint, materials, and installation.

Artists can apply for one or both. Learn more at okotoks.ca/okotoks-public-art
