An Okotoks convenience store was robbed in the early hours of Jan. 3.
The suspect demanded money from the till and merchandise from a clerk at the 7-Eleven at 235 Milligan Drive at approximately 3 a.m.
“A man entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes from the 7-Eleven employee,” said Okotoks RCMP Sgt. Sukh Randhawa. “He got away with the cash tray that was in the till.”
An RCMP release stated the suspect male threatened a victim with a knife and stole various items and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot.
No one was injured. The suspect is described as a First Nations male between the ages of 20 and 30 years of age and 5-foot-8 with a slim build. He had a shaved side and back of head forming a Mohawk-like look on top.
The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, black track pants with white stripes, grey sneakers with white at the bottom.
He also had a tattoo on his left hand.
