Foothills farms open their gates

Alberta Open Farm Days saw more than 80 farms across the province open their gates and businesses to the public, bringing urban and rural together for a two-day event this weekend ranging from tours to trails, crops and gardens to livestock and stores.

Alberta Open Farm Days saw more than 80 farms across the province open their gates and businesses to the public, bringing urban and rural together for a two-day event this weekend ranging from tours to trails, crops and gardens to livestock and stores.

Foothills-based operations on the tour list included Hartell Homestead just south of Black Diamond by the old Hartell store, Eau Claire Distillery in Turner Valley, Spirit Hills Winery in the Millarville area, and Sydewynder Hops near Gladys Ridge.
