Integrity supports STARS at anniversary event

Okotoks-area construction company donates almost $46,000 to air ambulance during 15th anniversary event.

A local construction and building materials company celebrated 15 years in business by demonstrating its commitment to giving back.

The Integrity Group of Companies hosted an event on June 22 to commemorate the milestone and support the invaluable work of STARS Air Ambulance. Approximately 250 guests gathered for the afternoon event to celebrate Integrity while raising funds for the life-saving mission of STARS.

“We believe in giving back to the communities that have given so much to us,” said Integrity Group founder and CEO Jerry Myer. “STARS Air Ambulance has an enormous impact on our employees and customers in rural and remote communities.

"It was an easy decision to include them in our celebration event.”

The gathering welcomed dignitaries and community leaders, including Highwood MLA RJ Sigurdson and Okotoks Mayor Tanya Thorn. Joining the festivities were also members of the STARS team and VIP speaker, Charlotte McHugh, who shared her inspiring story, highlighting the critical importance of emergency medical services.

A live auction, with all items donated by the Integrity Group, generated lots of excitement, while the winning ticket in a 50/50 raffle, which ran for two weeks prior to the event, was drawn. The fundraising efforts resulted in $45,932 raised for STARS.

"We are deeply grateful to all the customers, employees and partners who were part of our growth the last 15 years,” said Scott Myer, COO at Integrity Group. “And it was very rewarding to share our celebration event with a cause that matters.

“Safety is one of our core values and we hope the funds raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. We extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in the event."

Headquartered near Okotoks, Integrity employs approximately 200 people and has a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, agriculture, equestrian and mixed-use projects.
