Police seeking suspect in vehicle theft

Police are asking for public assistance locating a man suspected in a vehicle theft. Okotoks RCMP responded to a reported stolen vehicle around 8:43 a.m. on Nov.

Police are asking for public assistance locating a man suspected in a vehicle theft.

Okotoks RCMP responded to a reported stolen vehicle around 8:43 a.m. on Nov. 14, locating it in the MD of Foothills near Highway 2 and 48 Street East, where one 27-year-old male was arrested on scene.

Police are still seeking a second man after another vehicle was located a short distance away.

Officers, with the assistance of a canine unit, tracked the suspect to no avail.

The suspect is described as wearing all black and was last seen running southbound on 48 Street East.
