The Town of Okotoks is hosting a workshop to get input on the design of the new Southside All Wheel Skatepark.
The new skatepark will be located at Howard Park adjacent to Foothills Composite High School to provide a facility at the south end of town. The park will allow users to practice skateboarding, biking and other wheeled sports while being the site of events and demonstrations.
The projected timeline of the project slates January to April for analysis and community consultation, April to May for detailed designs and drawings, and June to September for construction.
Community members and youth are invited to attend the workshop, where they can provide feedback and suggestions for the new skatepark.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Centennial Arenas Olympic Room. More information can be found here.
