An Okotoks ultramarathoner had the third fastest time in a sinister race.
Okotoks' David Proctor completed the Sinister 7 100-mile race in a time of 21:15:36, roughly three hours behind winner Kevin Biggs at 18:05:42 on July 9-11 at Crowsnest Pass.
Albertan Alisa MacDonald was second overall, clocking in at 18:19:42.
The 100-mile race has 6,600m of elevation as it runs through the Canadian Rockies.
Okotoks' Shantel Hunter delivered a time of 16:06:41 to finish 43rd in the 50-mile female division.
The race's name is inspired by the treacherous Seven Sisters Mountain that looms over much of the course.
