Bev passed away peacefully at the age of 82
after a brief illness. Bev spent her last years
courageously and with humour, living with
dementia at the Rising Sun Long Term Care
Centre in Black Diamond, AB.

Bev will forever be loved and remembered
as a warm, generous, and devoted mother,
wife, grandma, great grandma, and dear
friend. Bev was a remarkably gifted artist and
well-respected art instructor, social worker,
teacher and mentor. Bev lived with a passion
for creativity and supporting others. She grew
beautiful flower gardens, made a beautiful
family home, sewed, crafted, painted, wrote
poems, and loved her family and friends
fiercely. Bev worked hard her whole life
and did everything with her whole heart.

Everyone that was blessed to know Bev came
away feeling special.

Despite her dementia Bev always loved a good
laugh and always recognized and cherished
her beloved children and husband. Bev could
be a handful and was well known for her
“stink eye”, smart responses and the twinkle
in her eye. In her final days many of the staff
came in to share with family some of their
fond memories of her, some funny or spicy
and some sweet. Her family is grateful for the
care and support Bev received from staff of the
Rising Sun in her last years.

Bev leaves to mourn her passing: her beloved
husband Donald (Don) William Roberts, her
daughters Debbie Posey, Connie Legare and
Laura Roberts, seven grandchildren and great
grandchildren, as well as Don’s children and
grandchildren. A small remembrance will be
planned at a later date.
