Dorothy (Dode) Kathleen Anderson passed quietly October 3, 2019 at the Oilfields General Hospital, Rising Sun Long Term Care, in Black Diamond. We would like to thank Dr Ray for his support over the years and for delivering consistent and superb service.
We would also like to thank the staff at Oilfields General Hospital for their ongoing and consistent support.

Dorothy was born in Winnipeg, January 15, 1925 to Bill and Martha Atkinson,
she was 94 when she passed. Dode grew up in Calgary, met “Andy” and was married September 3, 1943. Andy was in the
Royal Canadian Air Force, and as such, we travelled as a family for over 20 years. Dode and Andy retired in Calgary in 1969, but soon moved to a country property in Millarville. Right across from the racetrack. They became very active in the horse community as members of the Ridge Riders, spending most summers in the mountains.

Dode worked at Sears as an executive secretary and became an active member
of Christ Church in Millarville for over
35 years. She was a founding member of the Valley Neighbors Club in Turner Valley
and was also a very active member of the bridge community.

Thank you to Darren and Heather McBride for the help and guidance you have provided to both of my parents in their elder years.

Services will be held at Christ Church Spring, 2020. Dode will be buried next to Andy
and her parents.

Dode is survived by her son Wayne, daughter in law Karen and their daughters Kate
and Sarah, and her son Brian.
