December 7, 1926 – April 26, 2023
John “Jack” Dafoe of Okotoks, AB passed
away peacefully at Cedars Villa in Calgary AB,
on April 26, 2023 at the age of 96 years. Jack
was predeceased by his wife Eva, sister Betty
and brother-in-law Ted.
Jack was born in Calgary and lived on the
family farm west of Okotoks for most of his
years. He married the love of his life, Eva in
1976, and continued to farm every day until
he was 90 years old. He and Eva enjoyed
dancing and curling and spent most Friday
evenings dancing at the Calgary Legion.
Jack is survived by his nieces and nephews

(Lawrence) of Hanna, AB, Dianne Nelson
(Jerry) of Youngstown, AB, Gordon Weaver
(Eve) of Beaufort, SC and Chris Weaver (Patti)
of Okotoks, AB.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that
donations be made in Jack’s name to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to thank all the staff at
Cedars Villa for their compassion and care
over the past 6 years.
