Marion Margaret Hoffman, a loving wife, devoted mother, incredible Oma, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born in Neidpath, Saskatchewan on June 6, 1931, to Alexander Schwartz of Kronendal, Russia and Lydia Brown of Gotebo, Kiowa, Oklahoma, USA.

Marion was an amazing woman who was loved by many and shared her warm smile, witty humour and sunny personality with all who knew her. She was married to Stanley Wally Hoffman for 67 years before Stanley passed away in 2023.Together they leave behind 3 children: Colleen, Kirk, and Mark. She was a proud grandmother to 8 granddaughters and 4 grandsons, as well as great-grandmother to 3 great-granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons. She was also a beloved sister to three brothers and one sister.

Marion, alongside Stanley, was a pioneer missionary and planted churches in 8 African countries for the Church of God mission. As an ordained minister, she was passionate about working with women, youth, and the elderly. She had a calling to nurture and help the needy. She leaves behind an incredible legacy of a life dedicated to her faith. She not only received Doctorates from 2 different Universities for her outstanding work in missions, but she also had a strong sense of family and passionately loved them.

A celebration of Marion’s life was held on February 9th, 2024 at the Millarville Community Church.  Friends and family gathered to remember and honour her extraordinary life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Marion’s heart: Furaha Africa Relief Association (http://www.fararelief.com) for the Marion Junior School #120 and Hoffman Sewing Center #215.

Marion Margaret Hoffman will be forever loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
