Regina/Jean and her husband Glen raised
four children and enjoyed 67 wonderful years
of marriage together. When she lost Glen
two years ago, Jean’s life became difficult
for her. This did not, however, stop her from
having some wonderful times with her four
children Gail (Lynn), Cam (Shirley), Laurel
and Ramsey (Claudia). Those daily visits with
her mean so much to us now. Jean loved her
Grandchildren, they have been lucky enough
to have had their Grandparents close by and
to truly know them. She taught each of them
a love for games and cards, crafts, puzzles,
baking and anything else that she decided
they would enjoy. Robert, Dustin, Allyse, Erin,
Edward, Cogan , Sean and Rebecca all have
their own special memories with their sweet,
kind and generous Grandmother. Jean also
had 10 Great-grandchildren and she loved
them all.

Regina was born and raised in Regina,
Saskatchewan with a big family and Irish
immigrant parents, Wilhelmina and William.
She was the youngest daughter of seven and
although she was predeceased by them all,
she spoke of them daily and shared stories
with us ‘til the end.

Her parents passed when she was a young
woman and, even though she had 4 of her own
children at the time, she took on the role of
caregiver for her youngest brother Dave, who
had complex needs. This was who Jean was; a
truly caring, loving and compassionate person.

At the same time, Jean and Glen were living
and raising their family in Alberta. Starting in
Calgary, they moved to DeWinton in 1975 and
then Okotoks, when their acreage became
too much. In their later years they enjoyed
travelling and some cruises and each other.

All are welcome to come and share stories at
Jean’s Celebration of Life November 13, 2023
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Southwood United
