November 1, 1947 to January 27, 2024
It is with profound sadness that the family of
Richard (Rick) Martin Thompson announce his
passing after a courageous battle with cancer
at the age of 76.
Rick was born in Calgary, the 6th child of
Gordon and Evelyn Thompson of Okotoks,
Alberta. Rick was a hardworking and funloving
man; always laughing and being the
prankster, he grew up in Okotoks.
Rick will be remembered by his brothers Bill
(Fran), Bob (Anna), Jim (Dorothy), Chuck, and
Don (Randi), two daughters; Sheri (Gord) and
Jacqueline, four grandchildren, 2 great-grand
children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Gordon
and Evelyn, his sisters Betty and Joyce, his
brother Steve, his sister-in-law Mona, and his
nephews Tony, Scott, Sheldon, and Dale.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday March
2, 2024 at Chateau Estates – Community
Centre 1101 – 84 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta
from 1:00pm – 4:00pm
