Dear Editor,
Perhaps Town of Okotoks elected officials need to learn the word restraint. There must be budget cuts somewhere.
Town growth should allow for fiscal sustainability. Developers should pay more to develop. The growth of the town never results in lower taxes.
Council has increased the taxes on our home by $1,000 in three years. Pass a law that says taxes must not rise more than the inflation rate.
Remember when you vote this fall to keep tax increases in mind.
