The Pine Creek Cemetery Society board wishes to extend its greatest appreciation to all the local residents and society members who came to the open house kickoff fundraiser at the DeWinton Community Centre on May 25 to prepare for the soon-to-be-published book: PINE CREEK CEMETERY...Our Pine Creek Legacy.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but the attendance, participation, input, donations, sharing and visiting with people known, and meeting new relatives, brings a new statement to mind: It takes a community to make a project happen.
Our community just keeps growing thanks to:
• The Western Wheel for attracting people who only heard about this project this way.
• The Pine Creek Society members who came from receiving their email messages.
• The DeWinton Community Centre, residents and neighbours who came to support a project.
• The Pine Creek Cemetery board and Folklore Research publishers who shared information.
• Legacy Cemetery ‘neighbours’ Tim Hortons and Sobeys who donated coffee and cookies.
• Garden centre donations to making a table of plants for avid gardeners to purchase.

Enjoy your summer and when fall occurs, our publishers will have been working for us to be able to give/send you important updated information as to when this book will be ready to purchase, where the book will be available and what other needs the society has.
