Re: Town seeks input on entertainment district proposal, April 19
Proposing the idea of drinking in public is a bad idea in my opinion and is leading us in the wrong direction.
Alcohol is already extremely prevalent in our society and is considered a No. 1 carcinogen. Most people drink responsibly but some don't and we don't want them wandering around downtown because impairment in the streets has led to traffic fatalities and disorder.
We should, as a society, be discouraging alcohol consumption, not promoting it, especially with our younger generations.
