Wow, what a difference a week makes.
Why can’t we just slowly work our way into winter? Instead, we wake up to a raging storm of ice, snow and wind. On Tuesday it was minus 7 but with over 90 per cent humidity it felt like minus 15.
Oh, I hate it when winter starts like this! Good news is there is a small possibility the snow will be gone for Halloween!
Let’s hope so. I still have hoses, lawn furniture etc. to bring in.

This Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. the Town of Okotoks is putting on a family Jelly Bean Dance for the entire family. Come in your Halloween costume for some fun. It takes place at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.

Talking about wonderful events The Sheep River Health Trust is organizing their inaugural Avenue of Trees. This event will have businesses in Okotoks, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Millarville and Priddis competing for the best decorated Christmas tree. The trees will be on display and the public can vote for their favourites.
In mid December the trees will be auctioned at events in the Oilfields and Okotoks.
