Valley Neighbours Club News

I finally got to see the Japanese Gardens in Lethbridge and what an interesting day it was. We met with many W.I. members from across Southern Alberta for lunch in Lethbridge and we stopped to have a quick visit with Loraine.

Plan to take in the Festival of the Arts exhibit and sale on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Millennium Park in Turner Valley from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free parking and free admission… the price is right.

Okotoks & District Seniors Club will hold a bridge luncheon on Aug. 18. Lunch at noon, bridge to follow. I have tickets and they may also be purchased from Helen at Okotoks & District as well. To date, I have not sold any tickets because it is fair day at Millarville and our members are either volunteering or attending the fair.

Congratulations, once again, to Suzon Schaal and Genuine Brown Gal, who for the third time out of four have won the non pro bridle crown at the Calgary Stampede — $2,310 in the jeans doesn’t hurt.
