Out Thanksgiving dinner and silent auction will be held on Sept. 30. You may bring your silent auction items anytime and leave them in the games room.

I’ve just read an interesting book, it is called “Ruby Tuesday”. It is a little explicit but the neat thing about it is it is set in our own back yard, the author talks about driving down the Deerfoot and he mentions Okotoks and High River. It makes for an interesting read.
VNC executive will meet on Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. and the first general meeting of the new season is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. Whist will resume on Sept. 4 and bingo starts again on Sept. 7.
The Lion’s are sponsoring a barbeque at the Lion’s Park in Black Diamond on Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for kids under 10. You have a choice or roast beef or pork and there will be live music.
We took in the Longstock Music Festival in Longview on Sunday. We enjoyed the music and the atmosphere very much. There were vendors there that I had never seen before and some of them had some pretty interesting stuff.
The kids go back to school on Sept. 4. Don’t you wonder where the summer went?
