I had the pleasure of attending a 50th wedding anniversary party on Sunday. What a joy to reconnect with old friends on a happy occasion.
The Oilfields Camera Club is sponsoring a free slide show by award winning wildlife photographer Mark Garbutt, on Friday, Sept. 28 at Sheep Creek Arts Council, 133 Sunset Blvd. in Turner Valley.
Millarville’s annual community garage sale goes on Sunday, Sept. 30 at Millarville Race Track from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There’s a lot going on this weekend as it is also the Diamond/Valley parade of garage sales on Sept. 29, and Trails End is also slated for the whole weekend at High River Memorial Center.
There will be a one day open bridge tournament at the Carseland Senior’s Centre on Oct. 12. There is a poster on the board at VNC or call Joyce at 403-934-4380 for more info.

The first full moon after the fall equinox is called the harvest moon. The full moon happens on Sept. 29, but you should be able to see it on Thursday and Friday night as well. It will be so beautiful; you may want to take a look.
