We went to see the Spruce Meadows Christmas lights on Thursday. They are magnificent. If you have the opportunity, take in the display, you won’t be disappointed. I understand they used 75 kilometres of electrical wire in the process.

Here is the best recipe for your feathered friends and the ingredients are good for them: 1 cup cornmeal, half cup sugar, half cup flour, 1 cup water, 1 cup peanut butter, 2 cups nuts, raisins or dried fruit. Mix all together and microwave for 3 minutes. Stir and pour into plastic container about the size of a suet feeder and freeze.

Attendance at the tea at St. George’s on Saturday was a little disappointing, but the hall looked very festive and the food was lovely.
