Virginia tells me she had a flock of robins and varied thrush in her yard two days prior to the first day of spring, the crows are back and the gophers are out.

St. George’s will hold an Easter Bonnet tea on April 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Ladies wearing a hat and gloves will enjoy a dollar off admission.

I attended the anniversary celebration at the library on Saturday. I was particularly interested in the essay contest (no I did not enter). The winners were: Under 13 – Morgan Wright; 13 to 17 – Devin Keenan; and adult – Crystal Solomon. Some of the essays were on the board, and one signed by “Sheila” impressed me. It tells the story of the hardships suffered by her First Nations grandmother. Take the opportunity to read it because it is very good.

Happy Easter and I hope you spend the weekend with someone you love, or several someones.

Our next executive meeting will be at noon on March 28.

We send our love and prayers to Dode Anderson, who is once again in Oilfields Hospital.
