Construction of the following municipal public works is now complete:
In accordance with Section 534 of the Municipal Government Act, an owner of land that abuts land on which a public work or structure is situated may be entitled to compensation from the municipality for “injurious affection” to the owner’s land. “Injurious affection” means the permanent reduction in the appraised value of land as a result of the existence, but not the construction, erection or use, of a public work or structure.
Any claim for compensation in respect of these public works must be in writing and, at a minimum, state both the amount claimed and the particulars of the claim and received by Town of Okotoks administration within 60 days of the date of this publication.
