Since July 1, 1964, Heritage Park has been a community staple for showcasing Western Canadian heritage. On July 1, they are excited to honour six decades of memories and milestones with a day filled with excitement and nostalgia as they pay tribute to their rich history. From the nostalgic charm of all your favourite attractions to the sweet indulgence of complimentary birthday cake—every moment promises to be unforgettable.
Don't miss the parade around the Village Square at 11 am, and celebratory Spike Drive Ceremony at 11:30 am. Groove to the tunes of local talents with live concerts by Country Music Alberta's two-time Horizon Female Artist of the Year Mariya Stokes at 1 and 2:15 pm and 2024 Alberta Country Music Youth Horizon Award winner Hayley Isabel at 3 pm. Enjoy performances by the Chinook Country Line Dancers, Balzac Kitchen Party String Band and the Watâga Dance Troupe.
Engage in friendly competition with old-fashioned family lawn games or let your creativity soar with kids' crafts. And don't forget to hop aboard a wagon ride through the Park's scenic trails for a leisurely journey through time. As a special treat, the first 1,000 guests through the Park gates will receive a free mini butter tart!

Heritage Park’s 60th Anniversary Parade
Find a good spot to sit down and watch the 60th Birthday parade as it goes around the Village Square!

60th Birthday Spike Drive Ceremony
Watch as a commemorative rail spike will be driven into the railway track to signify the Park’s 60th year!

Mariya Stokes
Enjoy Country Music Alberta's two-time Horizon Female Artist of the Year, Mariya Stokes, known for her quick wit, quirky sense of humour and signature retro style.

Hayley Isabel
A singing sensation with a heart of gold and a voice that’ll knock your socks off! This pint-sized powerhouse won the 2024 Alberta Country Music Youth Horizon Award.

Nifty Fifty’s Ford Club Antique Car Display
Come check out the fins and chrome on these beauties, courtesy of the Nifty Fifty’s Ford Club.

Old-Fashioned Family Games
Challenge your family and friends to a three-legged race, egg-in-spoon race, or tug of war.

Chinook Country Line Dancers
You’ll be tapping your toes as you watch this multiple-award-winning, dynamic YYC dance group.

Calgary Police Service Pipe Band
This group of volunteers strive to be the premier show and competition Pipe Band in Canada and are good-will ambassadors for the Calgary Police Service and the City of Calgary.

Balzac Kitchen Party String Band
Hang out on the grass and enjoy this eclectic group of musicians, playing a blend of Celtic, old-time, traditional western and folk music.
