Someone has a Western Wheel Cares raffle ticket worth over $2,800

The winning ticket from the Western Wheel Cares 50/50 raffle is worth $2,856.

A winning ticket has been drawn for this year's Western Wheel Cares 50/50 raffle.

The raffle is part of an annual campaign supporting local charities, and volunteers sold 2,856 50/50 tickets this year.

At $2 each, ticket sales raised $5,712 and the winner will take home $2,856.

The winning ticket number is 6850738.

The lucky ticket holder can contact Gayle Wolf at the Western Wheel office 403-938-6397 to claim their winnings.

Western Wheel Cares supports seven local organizations: Foothills Advocacy in Motion Society, Foothills Country Hospice, Inclusion Foothills, Okotoks Food Bank, Pound Rescue, Rowan House Society and Sheep River Health Trust.  

This year’s Western Wheel Cares campaign runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 and 100 per cent of donations go to the seven charities.    

In 2022, the campaign raised a record $82,670, pushing its 11-year total to $569,059.
