Diamond Valley will soon come into bloom.

The town's community gardeners, currently in the process of amalgamating the Black Diamond and Turner Valley gardens, is gearing up for the upcoming season by inviting people to register for garden beds.

Community gardeners, both new and experienced, are invited to the Diamond Valley Community Garden's registration event, which is being held on Saturday, April 6 at the Sheep River Library from 1 to 3 p.m.

Attendees can also chat with community garden committee members, who will share information on community gardening and the benefits of gardening in an enclosed space without deer or gophers.

The community garden additionally offers classes on the first Saturday of every month at the Sheep River Library from 3 to 5 p.m.

To pre-register for a garden bed, call Jane Toews at 403-620-1316.
