Diamond Valley council and committee of the whole meetings are moving to the former Turner Valley council chambers on Windsor Avenue, beginning on Sept. 6.

Council meetings in Diamond Valley are moving to a different location beginning today.

The meetings will take place at the council chambers in the former Turner Valley Municipal Office at 514 Windsor Ave. Northwest in Diamond Valley.

Diamond Valley CAO Corinne Middleton said the change is based on esthetics.

Council likes the layout and the overall appeal of the chamber in the Turner Valley building, Middleton said.

"I just think it's got a little bit of a better layout," she said. "It can really accommodate more people."

The change includes committee of the whole meetings as well as regular council meetings that had been held at the Town of Diamond Valley Municipal Office.

Middleton said no Town staff are affected by the move.

Regular council meetings in Diamond Valley are held bi-weekly and begin at 6:30 p.m.
