Diamond Valley Fire Rescue had a busy weekend amid extremely dry and windy conditions.
Firefighters responded to a large outdoor fire on the afternoon of Saturday, May 3 with the exact location of the fire initially unknown upon dispatch and with the assistance of Foothills 911 Dispatch, crews found the location on 144 Street W, as per a Diamond Valley Fire Rescue press release.
The fire could be seen from several kilometres away which led to calls of a possible second fire in the region, which was found to be the same one.
