Diamond Valley wants Town staff and residents to stay safe and warm as arctic weather arrives in the area.

The Town is pausing maintenance on outdoor rinks, including the Scott Seaman Sports Rink, from Jan. 10 to 14 due to extreme temperatures.

The pause is being done to protect staff and equipment, and residents are encouraged to avoid using the rinks, the Town said.

Forecasts from Environment Canada call for a high of -26C on Thursday and say temperatures will drop further through the week, before they rebound slightly on Sunday.
