Foothills County residents are invited to attend a Wildfire Awareness & FireSmart meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Priddis Community Hall.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour that will allow residents to visit with neighbours.
The formal portion, which will run from 7 to 9 p.m., will feature presentations and a question-and-answer session.
Forestry specialist Rick Arthurs will talk about wildfire history in the area.
FireSmart mitigation measures will be presented by Foothills Fire Department and FireSmart Alberta representatives, who defend citizens and properties in the event of fire or wildfire.
Refreshments will be served.
