As part of Alberta Culture Days 2024, the Sheep Creek Arts Council, in collaboration with the Sheep River Library, is hosting a special drumming circle event.
This vibrant celebration of culture and community will take place on Friday, Sept. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at 129 Main Street NE, Diamond Valley.
The drumming circle promises to be a unique and immersive experience, featuring a lineup of talented and passionate facilitators:
• Delia will open the circle, sharing insights on drumming as a form of medicine and its deep connection to Mother Earth.
• Gomez will offer the healing sounds of the didgeridoo, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere.
• Chris & Don, YYC Drum Circles, will lead the circle, guiding participants through fun and engaging drumming activities, designed to foster unity and joy among all attendees.
This event is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Whether you’re an experienced drummer or simply curious about the art, this drumming circle welcomes everyone to join in the rhythm and celebration.
The drumming circle is part of a series of events hosted by the Sheep Creek Arts Council in celebration of Alberta Culture Days. This initiative is made possible through the generous support of Alberta Culture, which annually promotes the diversity of arts, heritage and cultural communities across the province.
