A walk around Black Diamond will be a lot more interesting this Saturday, as people are being encouraged to decorate their home and yards and play music in what is being called a reverse parade.

The Okotoks Music Drive returned for 2021 on Sept. 11 with musicians around town taking to porches, driveways, and yards to serenade those touring or passing by.

“There’s such great musicians in Okotoks, and why not share the talent, share the love, and spread it?”

“We get lots of new people in, often just on the tour, to explore what we have in southern Alberta for arts and artists," Cheryl Taylor, Lineham House Galleries.

“Anyone is really welcome to participate, but (the competition) is mostly for the hardcore plein air-ists,” LIndsay Corbet, Leighton events and exhibitions manager.
