GALLERY: Community celebrates during Diamond Valley Day

'Amalgamation Celebration' was the theme of this year's Diamond Valley Day parade and festival on June 3.

Celebrations in Diamond Valley hit a couple of milestones this year.

The first Diamond Valley Day since Black Diamond and Turner Valley united was held on June 3, and the theme of the day was Amalgamation Celebration.

It was also the 55th anniversary of the Diamond Valley Parade.

Diamond Valley Day began with a pancake breakfast at Oilfields High School before the parade started.

After the parade looped through town, festivities moved to Millennium Park for Diamond Valley Day.

Attractions at Millennium Park included several bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting and a dunk tank.

Several other events were held in conjunction with Diamond Valley Day, including a bake sale and quilt show hosted by the Sheep Creek Arts Council, and a plant sale hosted by the Valley Neighbours Club.
