Wow, what a difference a week makes. Why can’t we just slowly work our way into winter? Instead, we wake up to a raging storm of ice, snow and wind. On Tuesday it was minus 7 but with over 90 per cent humidity it felt like minus 15.

Bev and Vance Ertmoed hosted the VNC garden club meeting on Oct. 11. Vance gave us a demo on wine making and we got to taste the finished product. The garden club winterized the planters at VNC on Monday. We appreciate their artistry and hard work.
