Water pipeline close to reality for Cayley

The existing water plant in Cayley has reached the end of its life span and either needs to be replaced or a pipeline to High River installed.

We have turned the page and now we are into the New Year some two and one-half months after the municipal elections. I cannot but wonder how the new council will deal with the persistent issue of sustainability.

Macleod MP gets deserving promotion

It was announced on Tuesday Macleod MP Ted Menzies was promoted to Minister of State of Finance. Menzies, who was the parliamentary secretary for Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, will assume the new post which is a low level cabinet position in Ottawa.
