The Square Butte Ladies Group held their Pot Luck Supper and Games gathering at the Square Butte Community Hall west of Millarville on Sept. 16.

I had the pleasure of attending a 50th wedding anniversary party on Sunday. What a joy to reconnect with old friends on a happy occasion.

Okotoks council would like to have its tax base and water too, but it simply can’t have it all. On Monday evening Okotoks council can end a drama which has lasted longer than “The Young and the Restless”.

Sunday evening a fire removed our last elevator on North Railway. The seed cleaning plant had not been used for about five years so it was just a matter of time before the structure would fall down one way or another.

The Foothills Highland Games was an incredible success on Saturday, but it also provided a sound lesson for the nonbelievers. No matter how skeptical you are once you put on the kilt you feel damn sexy.

This weekend will be the 21st annual Okotoks Pro Rodeo. Lots of the top cowboys and stock will be in town for the event. Three shows; Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
